The Internal Security Forces (ISF) arrested Wednesday November 23, three men, who vandalized and robbed the Greek Orthodox Church of the Archdiocese of Beirut last week.
According to the ISF information, two of the suspects taken into custody had been seen near the Greek Church two nights in a row before the attack.
After investigations and surveillance, the two men were finally arrested on Monday after the ISF raided their houses, where some stolen items were found.
One of the two arrested men told the ISF that another person participated in the crime, who was immediately arrested as well.
In its official statement, the ISF said that the three assailants not only admitted to vandalizing the church but also to being involved in other crimes in Beirut and Mount Lebanon.
